Pinterest has traditionally been thought of as a place where companies could leverage engagement with their female audience, but that is quickly changing. Last week Pinterest made a statement that men now account for one-third of all new signups, providing an entirely new demographic on the platform. This makes Pinterest a platform where brands can reach a larger male audience than GQ and Sports Illustrated combined.
Many have categorised it as a women-only social platform, and the truth is that Pinterest has traditionally attracted a largely female audience, as high as 80% actually.
