Facebook has grown Instagram into a massive platform that has surpassed Twitter. The platform, aimed at younger users, is continuing it's momentum by staying on top of fake accounts, issuing verified accounts, as well as continuing to improve their advertisement system.
Instagram now has 300 million monthly users, picking up 100 million since March. The photo- and video-sharing app has surpassed Twitter's official user count of 284 million.
